SWG Feature : The Final Four

1's Reign Supreme

Well, it has happened. Perhaps even a five-year old or a woman at the office who chooses their brackets based on mascots and team colors could have predicted this. All four regions held form over the first two weeks of the NCAA tournament producing a four- #1 seed Final Four.

The weekend ended with a couple yawner-games (Memphis v. Texas, UCLA v. Xavier), a NC team on the ropes against Louisville, and a Kansas game that had Rock Chalk almost on the canvas. With a ho-hum Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight rounds behind us, fans should get giddy about Saturday's matchups.

With the Final Four games in sight, here are some of the intriguing storylines to look for:

Roy Williams old team vs. Roy Williams new team : The coach faces his former team where he spent 15 years on the sidelines. Let's listen to the response Kansas fans give to their former leader.

Buffalo Bill Self? : The Kansas coach had 18 tournament victories prior to the Davidson win, giving him the undesirable title of the active coach with the most tourney wins- without making a Final Four. But that has changed, and with one hurdle done he hopes his Jayhawks get him two more victories.

Super Fresh : Freshmen Derrick Rose and Kevin Love have put their teams in position to win it all. UCLA's Love has averaged 21.8 ppg and leads in tourney rebounds with 44. Rose looks to keep his hot hand against UCLA, coming off a 21 point, 6 rebound, 9 assist game vs. Texas.
